A true blessing!!

If you're an exhausted, overwhelmed parent, the summary of this is that Caren is a blessing and you should welcome her into your family.

We hired Caren as a Newborn Care Specialist when my baby was 9 weeks old. Our sweet babe was waking up at night every 30-60 minutes (or more). Caren came with a plan to help us stretch out our baby's sleep and also with a routine for the daytime when she wasn't with us. This structure and round-the-clock approach helped my husband and myself stay on track and be consistent, which is so important for good sleep.

I wish we had hired Caren sooner; our experience with others paled in comparison to how we felt when Caren arrived. From the moment she steps through your door, she checks in to see how everyone is doing and if she isn't needed right away by the baby, she offers help in other ways (e.g. washing bottles). The most important characteristic of Caren is her warm, loving relationship with our little one. No matter how hard the night was, Caren always greeted us with a smile in the morning, provided guidance for the nights when she wasn't here, and made it evident that our precious baby was in safe hands. It was bittersweet when we realized we no longer needed Caren's care because our baby was sleeping through the night (yay!) but we knew we would miss having her around. Caren is a true gift!

“We were very impressed!”

We were very impressed with Caren’s knowledge on all things newborn! Caren is a giver of knowledge. She allowed us to learn hands on and has many valuable aspects. The advice that she provided on feeding and gently setting a schedule has been invaluable as it allowed me to become more effective at feeding and knowing when the baby was done so I didn’t feel I was feeding all day. This was beneficial for my mental health!! She also helped me with positioning and how to use pillows to assist with support. We worked on latch to adjust where needed. Caren taught me how to pump, clean the parts, store the pumped milk and how to pace feed when bottle feeding. Having her as a listening ear was much appreciated. My husband would love to include: that she was great at listening to my wife’s wants and needs and being able to recognize her body language. She was invaluable at supporting my wife and baby and even I started looking forward to the food she prepared us because she made the best sandwiches I ever ate and the snacks she put together were picture-worthy and delicious!

We knew Caren before she became a Doula as our nanny. Caren was an amazing nanny to our family. She helped raise not one but two girls and I feel like she was an integral part of their childhood. She was practically perfect in every way. She had a solution for almost every problem and had a cheerful and patient way of dealing with my kids that I’m not sure how she managed. My kids would do anything for her. She was reliable, considerate and creative. Our kids were always her number one priority. Caren was the best. I couldn’t have done it without her.
